Moses dies on the mountain with the land in view, and God Himself buries him. Then heaven turns to a shaken assistant: Moses My servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross.

Three times in nine verses God says it: be strong and courageous. Courage in the Bible is not a personality trait. It is a command with a promise attached. Receive both today.

Joshua inherited an impossible act to follow and a river at flood stage, and God's provision was not a lighter assignment but a repeated promise: I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Courage, biblically, is simply behaving as if that promise is true, and the Book stays on your lips so you remember it is.

And notice who else crossed into the story today: Rahab, a Canaanite woman with a past, saved by faith in a rumor and a scarlet cord, destined for Jesus' own family tree. The narrow door has always opened wide to unlikely entrants. Be strong, be courageous, and never assume anyone is outside the welcome.
