Israel crosses the Jordan at flood stage, priests standing mid-riverbed with the ark while a nation walks by on dry ground. Then God orders a souvenir: twelve stones from the river bottom, stacked at Gilgal.

God engineered the crossing to be retold: stones dragged from a dry riverbed exist for no reason except to make children ask questions, and questions are where testimony lives. Unmarked grace gets forgotten in a generation; Israel learned that the hard way, and Gilgal was the vaccine.

So build your Gilgal. Write the answered prayers somewhere findable, tell the crossing stories at your table, keep an object or a date that forces the retelling. And when you host, borrow Jesus' guest list, the ones who cannot repay, because the best memorial to grace received is grace extended.
