A queen must choose between her safety and her people, and her uncle frames it with the most famous question in the book: who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?

Your position, whatever it is, has a purpose attached. Today, read like someone whose placement was not an accident.

Mordecai's theology deserves a second read: relief and deliverance will arise, he says, whether Esther acts or not. God's rescue was never in doubt. Esther's participation was. The question was not whether the Jews would be saved but whether she would be part of it.

That is exactly how 1 Corinthians 12 says the body works. The Spirit has already distributed what each moment needs. The only variable is whether the hand and the eye show up for the parts they were placed to play. Deliverance will arise. The invitation is to be in it.
