The Old Testament is almost out of pages, and God is still saying the same thing He said in Eden: come back. Zechariah opens with it, plain as a porch light left on. Return to Me, and I will return to you.

That is the whole invitation, and it has no fine print. Whatever this year did to your walk with God, the door is not locked. Come to today's reading like someone turning the handle.

Zechariah and Revelation are speaking to the same fear from opposite ends of the Bible: the powers that scatter God's people look permanent. Zechariah's answer is four craftsmen sent to break the horns. Revelation's answer is a dragon already hurled down, defeated by the blood of the Lamb. The scattering powers never get the final word. They never have.

So the invitation that opens Zechariah is safe to take. Return to Me, and I will return to you. Not because the year went well, and not once you clean yourself up first. The God extending the offer is the One who wins the war. Turning back to Him is not a risk. It is coming in from the cold.
