The women come at dawn to visit a grave and meet an earthquake, an angel sitting on the rolled-away stone, and a sentence that rearranges the universe: He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.

Then the risen Jesus meets them on the road with a word so ordinary it takes your breath away: greetings. Death is undone, and He says good morning. Celebrate as you read.

Exodus spends today counting gold; Matthew spends it announcing that the grave could not hold its occupant. The inventory matters because of the resurrection: every talent of tabernacle gold was pointing at a Presence, and the Presence, having died, is alive, saying I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Notice who carries the news first: women on a graveside errand, brokenhearted people to whom the LORD came close, exactly as the psalm promised. Resurrection hope is not for the composed; it is for the crushed in spirit. Whatever you buried in despair, He is risen, and risen means go tell somebody.
