The tabernacle project ends with the best possible construction failure: the glory of the LORD fills the tent so completely that Moses, of all people, cannot enter.

The same day, Mark's Gospel opens at a sprint, the beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, and the Presence that filled a tent starts walking through Galilee. Keep up if you can.

Exodus ends with glory filling a tent; Mark opens with heavens tearing and the Spirit descending onto a Man. The trajectory of the whole Bible is in that pairing: God's presence, once concentrated behind curtains, now walks into synagogues, touches the sick, and speaks with an authority even demons recognize.

Both scenes ask the same thing of the onlookers: reorder your life around the Presence. Israel broke camp whenever the cloud moved. Fishermen left their nets at once. The kingdom of God has come near you today in this Word; the only response that fits is following where it moves. Pack light, and go.
