Jesus, in Matthew, identifies so completely with His people that feeding the hungry counts as feeding Him. You are carried, and you are His. Read from inside both truths.

Aaron walked into the Holy Place wearing Israel over his heart, twelve names in stone, presented to God every time. It was a picture with an expiration date, because a greater High Priest was coming who would not wear the names but bear the people, calling the hungry and imprisoned My brothers and sisters, taking what is done to them as done to Him.
