Solomon prays with his hands spread toward heaven, and fire falls. Paul describes the war inside every honest person, and then writes the sentence guilty people have been breathing ever since.

You will likely recognize yourself in Romans 7 today. Do not stop there. The paragraph break between chapter 7 and chapter 8 is the best news you will read this week.

Solomon assumed failure. His whole prayer is a list of ways Israel will blow it, matched with a God who forgives every one. He built repentance into the architecture. Paul lived the same pattern from the inside: the war is real, the failure is real, and the rescue is more real.

So take the verdict personally. Not 'less condemnation.' Not 'condemnation once you clean up.' None, now, for those in Christ. The war in your chest does not disqualify you. It is the proof you belong to the side that wins.
