Two years pass. The convenient season never comes. Today's readings ask a gentle, urgent question: what has God said to you that is still waiting on your calendar?

Felix had unusual access: a private apostle, accurate knowledge of the Way, and conviction strong enough to frighten him. What he lacked was willingness, and so he negotiated with truth, filing it under later while angling for bribes. Conviction postponed tends to become conviction anesthetized; two years of sermons never moved him again.

The genealogy quietly preaches the opposite: generation after generation either carried the promise or dropped it, and the line ran through the willing. God's word to you today has a shelf life measured in soft-heartedness, not in months. Whatever He has been saying, obey it before convenient arrives, because convenient is a country no one reaches.
