Psalm 130 hands every struggler a ladder: out of the depths I cry to you, LORD... If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness.

Today an Ethiopian official reads Isaiah in a chariot and asks the humble question that changes his eternity: how can I understand unless someone explains it to me? Depths, forgiveness, and a guide on a desert road, this is a day for seekers.

The queen of Sheba traveled a thousand miles for wisdom; the Ethiopian official rode home with something better, Isaiah 53 explained and a Savior received. Seekers still come from the ends of the earth, and God still sends explainers, ordinary Philips willing to jog beside a chariot and start where the person actually is.

Psalm 130 supplies the message worth explaining: no one could stand if sins were tallied, but with Him there is forgiveness, unfailing love, full redemption. Someone near you is reading life without a guide. Ask the Spirit for one desert-road assignment this month, and be ready to begin with that very Scripture, whatever page they are stuck on.
