Before the arrest, Jesus lifts His eyes to heaven and prays, for Himself, for His disciples, and then for a group you should read twice: I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message.

That is you. In the darkest week of history, Jesus prayed for you by category and by heart. Today also brings 2 Samuel's most painful chapter; pray it inside His prayer.

Second Samuel 13 is one of Scripture's hardest chapters, and its honesty is part of its mercy: God's word does not look away from Tamar, and neither does God. David's passivity, fury without action, let injustice fester into vengeance; silence in the face of harm is never neutral.
