James takes on the smallest large thing in your life today: the tongue, a spark that sets forests ablaze, a rudder steering the whole ship, a fountain that somehow pours fresh and salt water from the same opening.

No human being can tame it, he admits. Which is not despair. It is a referral, to the only Tamer there is. Bring your mouth to God today.

Ezekiel spent chapter 40 watching a man measure a temple that would not exist for lifetimes, hope rendered in architecture, cubit by patient cubit. God details His promises like blueprints, because He intends to build them.

James hands you a smaller construction site with higher daily stakes: the mouth. The same opening blesses God and burns people, and no human tames it, which is why the chapter ends describing wisdom from heaven, pure, peaceable, merciful, the imported water that changes what the fountain pours. Submit the spring, and the spark, to the Builder today.
