Nineteen years ago in Ezekiel's visions, the glory of the LORD left the temple by the east gate, pausing at every threshold. Today, in the vision of the new temple, it returns the same way it left: and the glory of the LORD entered the temple through the gate facing east.

The glory did not sneak back in through a side door. It returned by the east gate, the exact exit it had used, because God's restorations answer His judgments point for point.
