Judah's chant was technically true. It was the temple of the LORD, and that made the deception stronger, a real thing used as a false shelter. Religious vocabulary can insulate a life from the God it names. The question was never whether they could say the words but whether justice reached the orphan at their gate.

Colossians offers the only shelter that is not hollow: Christ, in whom fullness dwells bodily, your record nailed to His cross. Slogans defend nothing on the day of reckoning. A canceled debt defends everything. Trade your chants for that.
