Four passages and a short devotional a day to take you through the whole Bible in one year — right alongside your Spirit Church family.

Real questions from Spirit readers on this passage, answered by our pastors.
God posts an open invitation today: come, all you who are thirsty, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Then He explains why His deals confound us: as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways.
You will not always trace His logic. You can always trust His altitude. Come thirsty.
God's economy runs upside down: the currency is thirst, the price is nothing, and the seller does the pursuing. Wine and milk without money offends every instinct we have about earning, which is exactly the point. Ways higher than ours feel wrong before they feel like grace.
The armor chapter belongs beside it, because the enemy's oldest tactic is reselling you what God gives free, at the price of your striving. Belt on the truth: contrite hearts are where the High and Holy One lives. Thirst is the qualification. Come is the whole application form.
