Today the Bible sings. The Song of Songs is romance without apology, desire written into the canon, a bride and groom delighting in each other while their friends cheer them on.

God did not blush when He inspired this book, so do not blush reading it. Married or single, today celebrates that love and longing were His idea first.

The Song's lovers hold two things most people split apart: blazing desire and patient timing. Do not awaken love until it so desires is not prudishness. It is fire safety, spoken by people standing close enough to the flame to respect it.

That discipline connects strangely well to Paul's offering logistics: precious things deserve careful handling, whether the treasure is money or intimacy. Sloppiness with either discredits the gift. God is neither embarrassed by passion nor casual about it, and His people should manage both inheritances the same way.
