Isaiah opens like a courtroom, heaven and earth called as witnesses against a nation that forgot its Father. And then, mid-indictment, the Judge leans forward with an offer no defendant expects: come now, let us reason together. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.

God's problem with Judah was not empty pews. It was full ones. The sacrifices were constant, and the hands offering them were bloody, and He calls the combination unbearable. Worship divorced from justice does not soothe God. It insults Him.

Yet the same chapter carries the gospel in miniature: come, let us reason together, scarlet to snow. God confronts to cleanse, never to crush. Paul's captive thoughts belong here too, because the war for a clean life is fought one argument at a time, and the Judge offering terms is on your side.
