Let's Talk About Sex
Sex is not gross. It's a gift.
But almost nobody hears it that way — because the church has largely gone quiet on it, and the world has not. So we grew up on a set of lies. It's just physical. It's not a big deal. It's private, it doesn't hurt anyone. And once those get you in, a second set keeps you there: this is just who I am now. I'm too far gone. If they really knew, they'd leave.
In Week 5 of our series, It's Complicated, Brad has the conversation most churches skip — for the hurting, for the trapped, and for the married.
It doesn't start with a rule. It starts with a $20 million violin, and something you would never do with it that you do with yourself all the time.
Then Brad goes after the strategy — because nobody arrives at adultery in one step, and the path there is far more predictable than you think. There's a reason the thing you did in private didn't stay private. And there's a reason your body can sign a covenant your mouth never said out loud.
Then he takes on soul ties. If you've been taught that every person you've slept with left an invisible cord attached to you, and that freedom depends on finding the right prayer to cut them, stay for this one. The cross was never a pair of scissors.
If you've been hurt, there is healing here. If you're stuck, there is a way out. If you're married, there is a standard worth building on — and it's not the one you were handed.
Because what the enemy came to sabotage, Jesus came to sanctify.
That is what some of you were. Past tense.
Naked and unashamed. That's still the goal.
